We often hear the phrase “Lack of executive presence”.  This can be defined in many ways depending on your view of one’s self. “True leaders know they must embody executive presence to get ahead, influence others, and drive results.” A simple rule to follow when engaging others

  • The first 12 Feet is probably one of the biggest drivers of executive presence. How you hold yourself, and body language that you use–consciously or sub-consciously.
  • What is the language that you use when meeting with people?  The first 12 Words–It’s both the words you use and how you say them.
  • In the first 12 Seconds of a conversation, the tone is being set. Don’t hurry your speech and take time over the words you use.

These simple rules will help you with first impressions and your executive presence with potential employers, clients and staff.
