Matt Wetrich

Matt began his career working part time for The Wetrich Group LLC during high school, working on a range of projects in the healthcare space, including market research analysis, database management, and IT support.

After high school, Matt studied at Texas A&M University, originally majoring in computer engineering. Matt transferred into the business school to pursue a career working in finance. During his junior year, he completed a finance and business development internship at VHA / Novation and helped manage investments for the Tanner Fund. He graduated with honors 2010; earning a finance, accounting and economics GPA of 3.9.

Post graduation, Matt went on to work for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in their Global Corporate and Investment Bank in Dallas, TX as a Media / Telecom analyst. During his nearly three years there, he helped build an excel template that allowed for the removal of $750K in annual spend on a bond reporting system, and at one point was the primary analyst on over $2.5Bn in bank debt, leasing, and derivative exposure.

Matt has a strong passion for science and technology, particularly in theoretical physics and artificial intelligence. He is also focused on using big data technologies to solve social issues and benefit.
