HIGPA

In 2004, the Health Industry Group Purchasing Association hired The Wetrich Group to:

  1. Solicit, understand and process member perspectives regarding HIGPA’s mission, membership services, strategies and effectiveness.
  2. Conduct a review of HIGPA’s day-to-day operations including structure, finances and operating plans
  3. Evaluate the effectiveness of HIGPA’s federal government advocacy efforts

Abbott Laboratories

In 1993, Jim was responsible for launching Isoflurane, USP into the U.S. market. Jim coordinated a team that wrote the launch plan and executed the launch. In less than one month, the Hospital Products Division at Abbott captured 50% of the U.S. market for Isoflurane. Then General Manager, Chris Begley, (now Chairman and CEO of Hospira) noted in regard to the launch that it was, “best in recent Abbott history.” Abbott’s Chief Operating Officer at the time, Tom Hodgson said that the Isoflurane launch was the “best execution of a sales and marketing program that I have seen in my business career.”
