Abbott Laboratories Business Development

Abbott's B.D. team engaged The Wetrich Group to conduct market research with leading orthopedic surgeons around the world regarding a product that Abbott was interested in acquiring. We obtained the names of leading orthopedic surgeons that were extensively using the device that Abbott was interested in purchasing.

Abbott developed the survey instrument and identified the questions. TWG then began the process of reaching out to the individuals and arranged times convenient for phone interviews. We ended up contacting 10 physicians with whom we spent an average of one and ½ hours on the phone. Our clinical experience was a tremendous asset in this situation as were our abilities to relate to a diverse group of individuals. Abbott was extremely satisfied with our work.
