José M. Ibáñez

José has extensive experience in medical device manufacturing operations. He transitioned four disposable device-manufacturing plants from Abbott Laboratories in May 2004 to Hospira. These plants provided excellent customer service and financial performance during the spin-off. Plants included three tax preferences in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Ireland with a domestic plant in Salt Lake City. While at Abbott Laboratories, he managed over $300MM in annual earned production, with 4,000 employees, over 200 million single use products produced and $5MM annual cost improvements. Jose has implemented Six Sigma process in device plants. He has built a device plant in Costa Rica covered by tax preference benefits.
